I took my daughter to see the new Ice Age flick the other day, which was kinda ‘meh’.  The one great take away from it, though, was the trailer for “Epic”.  It looks fantastic!  And the music in the trailer really grabbed me.  Something about it sounded familiar, so I did a little digging and discovered it was a tune by Snow Patrol.  I currently only have one album by them, but I think that’s something I’m going to have to rectify.

Seriously looking forward to this.  It looks like it’s  more an “all ages” than “made for kids” movie, which is the key ingredient to a great family film.

New York // Snow Patrol

This song. It’s all the emotions and feelings about ways for reasons no matter where you are. Like horoscopes, lyrics paint a broad enough stoke they can apply to anyone even when the words don’t apply. That doesn’t mean this isn’t lovely.

The lone neon nights and the ache of the ocean
And the fire that was starting to spark
I miss it all, from the love to the lightning
And the lack of it snaps me in two
